Sponsoring a child
Hope in Christ aims to give each child the best life possible, this includes making birthdays and Christmas’ special.
In 2020 our first “Secret Santa” project was established and it was a great success.
Sponsor a Child Project
You have two options on how to get involved:
Option 1: A monthly contribution
(These contributions will help cover the living cost of a child).
Each sponsor contributes a minimum of R500.00 per month which goes towards food, education, transport and recreation. Contributions can be made in cash or by EFT (clearly marked CHILD SPONSOR). Families/individuals can also team up to support a child.

Option 2: Sponsor an individual child
A personalised profile is available listing a child’s personal details, needs and wants, and future ambitions. Upon receiving the profile, a sponsor can get involved in the following manner:
A. Financial support
- Monthly contributions towards living costs
- Pocket money
- Contributions towards educational needs e.g exursions, matric farewell (clothing and event), stationery.
- Future studies (university/college)
B. Special occasions
- Birthday gifts
- Christmas gifts
- Rewarding a child for achievements (academic, sport, extra mural activities)
C. Time
- Helping with schoolwork
- Taking the child on outings (parks, restuarants, movies)
- Keeping in contact via messages/phoning.
D. Spiritual support (prayer)
Our Secret Santa Project
We had wonderful success with our pilot Program in 2020!
A personalised profile was created of each child giving a breakdown of their personality and wishlist. The profiles were made available to prospective sponsors whereby they chose a child to bless with a personalised gift.
